MAXIVIVE presented Spring/Summer 2027 in the 11:30 digital slot on Milan Fashion Week’s September 28, 2026 calendar. The brand names its 2027 collection Glutton for Labour. Camera Moda’s official lookbook moves between tailoring, everyday separates and more expansive dresses, with front, back and detail views allowing the pieces to be read from several directions.

In its own collection notes, MAXIVIVE places labour at the center of the season, describing development between its Lagos and Amsterdam studios. The house identifies hand knitting, embroidery and photographic processes among the ways production becomes visible in the clothes. Its account of looped surfaces made on a manual Tinko knitting machine adds a specific material context to the lookbook’s broader contrast between practical shapes and elaborate texture.

The opening striped outfit introduces a compact jacket above a long lower half. Nearby, a black suit acquires an unusual breadth at the back, while a blue jacket is shown both over trousers and as part of a much shorter silhouette. Those variations make tailoring feel like a set of adjustable components. A familiar jacket can change its character through the amount and shape of the garment beneath it.

Checks, stripes and graphic imagery supply another kind of movement. A blue-green checked shirt sits above a longer, more fitted skirt; a printed upper layer appears with dark trousers; a sports-inspired top is paired with broadly patterned pants. Rather than smoothing the parts into one coordinated surface, the styling allows each to retain a separate identity.

Color becomes more emphatic through yellow, green, pink and blue. A loose yellow hooded outfit creates an almost continuous block of color, while a yellow patterned upper layer meets vivid red hosiery. Elsewhere, a green outer piece opens over a dark printed center, with a longer skirt carrying the line downward. The collection often uses one concentrated area of color to shift the balance of an otherwise familiar outfit.

The later images test the opposite proposition through black. Strapless and asymmetrical upper sections meet short skirts, narrow trousers and larger folds. Several outfits are shown from behind, making ties, waist placement and the breadth of an outer layer part of the design’s visible argument. Small bags continue to provide a separate point of weight and shape.

Long white and pink garments then restore a more ceremonial register, before darker and brighter outerwear returns. Across the 78 official lookbook photographs, the collection’s character comes from keeping those possibilities in circulation. Tailored, sporty, exposed and voluminous elements coexist as pieces that can alter one another, rather than as steps toward one final silhouette.
