Returns, Refunds & Right of Withdrawal Policy
Effective date: 1 October 2026
This policy applies to consumer purchases made through the icönik online store. Mandatory statutory consumer rights always prevail where they provide greater protection.
14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from an eligible distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason. For goods, the withdrawal period generally begins on the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods. If several goods from one order are delivered separately, the period begins when the last good is received.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, send a clear statement to icönik, Gartenstraße 86, 10115 Berlin, Germany, email hello@iconikmagazine.com. It is sufficient to send the withdrawal notice before the 14-day period expires. Where an electronic statutory withdrawal function is available on our website, you may also use that function.
Returning goods
After notifying us of your withdrawal, goods must be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the date on which you informed us of the withdrawal. Please contact us before shipping so that we can provide the correct return instructions and, where applicable, the appropriate return address for the order.
For a withdrawal based solely on a change of mind, the consumer bears the direct cost of returning the goods unless icönik expressly agrees to cover those costs. For defective, damaged, incorrect or otherwise non-conforming goods, statutory consumer remedies apply and return costs will be borne by the seller where required by law.
Refunds
Following a valid withdrawal, we will reimburse payments received from you, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the order. Additional delivery costs resulting from choosing a more expensive delivery method are not refundable where permitted by law.
Refunds are made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receipt of the withdrawal notice. For sales of goods, the refund may be withheld until the goods have been received back or you provide evidence that they have been sent back, whichever occurs first. Unless otherwise expressly agreed, refunds are made using the same payment method used for the original transaction and without a refund fee.
Condition of returned goods
Goods may be inspected as they reasonably would be in a physical shop. The consumer may be responsible for loss in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, where the statutory requirements are met.
Exceptions
The statutory right of withdrawal may not apply, or may end early, where provided by law, including in particular goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised; goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; sealed goods unsuitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed; sealed audio/video recordings or software once unsealed; and digital content not supplied on a tangible medium where performance has begun after the consumer expressly consented and acknowledged the resulting loss of the withdrawal right, where all legal requirements are satisfied.
Defective or non-conforming goods
Nothing in this policy limits mandatory statutory rights relating to defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise non-conforming goods. Contact: hello@iconikmagazine.com.
