WEDDINGG — How did you meet?

Maria Marta — At my husband's sister's wedding in Trancoso, in 2014.

WEDDINGG — How did the marriage proposal and engagement happen?

Maria Marta — He proposed on Valentine's Day in 2015, at a Japanese restaurant.

WEDDINGG — What was it like planning the wedding, dealing with doubts and expectations, and hiring the professionals?

Maria Marta — It was quite straightforward, since I've worked in the wedding industry for almost eight years. I have wonderful partners who were essential to making everything perfect.

WEDDINGG — How did you feel on your wedding day before it all began, and what did you think when you heard the entrance music while the doors were still closed?

Maria Marta — I was very emotional and nervous. I cried a lot while getting ready when I saw that everything had gone according to plan and the weather was good, with no risk of rain. That had been my biggest fear because it was a beach wedding.

WEDDINGG — What was it like for you to experience getting married?

Maria Marta — It was deeply moving and filled us with happiness, a feeling unlike anything we'd experienced before.

WEDDINGG — What advice would you give to another bride?

Maria Marta — Don't get caught up in details that aren't very important. The more you worry about little things, the more likely something is to go wrong.

Maria Marta — Décor that felt like the beach: light, colorful and relaxed. And the result was exactly what I had imagined.
