Leonard Paris Spring Summer 2027: The Placement of Print
Print does more than fill a surface in Leonard Paris’s Spring Summer 2027 lookbook. It marks out a neckline, directs attention towards a sleeve and changes the apparent weight of a silhouette. Across the official FHCM lookbook, the strongest variations come from the space left around the botanical motifs.
Dark ground, bright borders
The first look gives its flowers and leaves a generous black background. Pink clusters, blue accents and sharply drawn fronds appear across a loose-sleeved upper section and wide-legged trousers. Narrow multicoloured stripes follow the plunging neckline and cuffs, providing a precise boundary beside the larger botanical shapes. The waist remains comparatively clear, allowing the eye to register the proportions before following the print down each leg.
In look 5, a related dark palette becomes denser and more animated. An off-the-shoulder neckline gathers into a large knot at the centre of the chest, while a striped tie defines the waist. The short skirt flares out, and the loose sleeves have a degree of transparency. Pink, green and blue motifs overlap the folds, so their outlines appear to shift with the garment. Red open-toed shoes keep the styling close to the warmest colour in the print.
A quieter blue
Look 10 reduces the contrast. A matching dark-blue jacket and trousers carry botanical forms in lighter shades of blue, making the pattern readable without the sharp separation of pink against black. The jacket has a round neckline, a row of visible buttons and turned-back cuffs; the trousers fall loosely over pale sandals. A lighter patterned layer shows through the open front. Here, the print sits comfortably within the familiar proportions of a casual trouser outfit.
Leaving room for light
The pale looks change the balance again. In look 15, yellow and light-blue radiating forms spread across a long silhouette with a loose, cape-like upper section. White space separates the motifs and keeps the overall effect airy. The broad fall of the upper fabric gives the print a different direction from the long, comparatively straight lower section.
Look 19 concentrates yellow and pink botanical shapes around the centre and lower portion of a short, gently flared dress. Its round neckline and clean upper chest leave the pattern room to expand, while bell-shaped sleeves echo the width at the hem. This is the most economical of the five compositions: a simple outline, a restrained palette and a motif positioned to carry the image.
