Vic Meirelles Brings Rosemary and Greenery to a Quinta da Baroneza Wedding
Design Analysis: A Countryside Garden with Rosemary and Color
At Quinta da Baroneza in the São Paulo countryside, Vic Meirelles developed a wedding setting designed around the natural character of the site. The afternoon celebration was conceived for approximately 400 guests, but its most distinctive decorative cues were intimate and sensory: the scent of rosemary in the chapel and a cheerful floral palette for the reception. Instead of treating nature as a generic backdrop, the project drew specific atmosphere from its plants and surroundings.
Rosemary was an explicit request for the ceremony. Used within the chapel decoration, the herb added an aromatic dimension that is easy to overlook in photographs but fundamental to the experience of the space. The reception then moved toward a richer mix of flowers in orange and yellow, with varied botanical shapes and tones rather than an all-white formal scheme.
The design worked in dialogue with furniture and table settings provided by several specialists, including Festah, 100% Eventos and Ambiente Eventos, with tableware and objects from D. Filipa and rugs from by Kamy. These elements supported a countryside atmosphere without reducing the event to rustic decoration. The aim was warmth, movement and an inviting relationship between ceremony and celebration.
Vic Meirelles and Cebolinha Plants are identified with the floral component, while Boutique de 3 coordinated the event. The photography is credited to Anna Quast and Ricky Arruda. The result illustrates how an experienced wedding designer can balance a large guest count with specific sensory and botanical details: rosemary for memory and fragrance, and vibrant flowers for the energy of the reception.

Design Notes
