Lavender Green Flowers Designs a Chinoiserie-Inspired Wedding at Kenwood House
Updated: Oct 30
A Personal Summer Wedding at Kenwood House
For Clementine and Roland's August wedding at Kenwood House, Lavender Green Flowers built the floral design around the couple's own collection of Chinoiserie hardware. This gave the tables an immediate sense of personality and allowed the decorative language to begin with objects that already held meaning for the couple.

Blue, White and Ivory
The floral palette focused on blue, white and ivory, using English-garden flowers including cosmos, delphinium, scabious, oxypetalum and astilbe. The restrained palette connected the florals to the blue-and-white Chinoiserie pieces while keeping the overall setting light and summery.

Softening the Marquee
Jasmine and ruscus were arranged in swooping trails across the marquee ceiling, visually softening the temporary structure. Floral columns marked the transition into dinner, turning circulation through the space into part of the decorative experience.

A Bespoke Top-Table Centerpiece
One of the project's most personal gestures centered on a bespoke platter gifted to the couple. Rather than displaying it conventionally, the design team placed it on a bed of growing florals at the center of the top table, turning a personal object into the visual focus of the setting.

Decorative Details
The wedding cake added another decorative detail: pale green piped swags and ruffles layered over ivory icing.
