Lavender Green Flowers Builds a Textural Pink Wedding at Butley Priory
Design Analysis: Pink in Three Acts at Butley Priory
At Butley Priory, Lavender Green Flowers created a three-day celebration that treated floral color as a changing part of the experience. The bride favored a broad pink spectrum, from cream and blush through delicate rose to stronger accents, while the welcome party introduced the groom's preferred pale blue. Working with planner Senel Besim, the team tied those individual preferences into one evolving design.
For the welcome event, small glass vessels filled with white and very pale blue flowers complemented blue linens, with tall tapered candles in gold holders providing light. The church at St Mary's in Woodbridge received a stronger decorative gesture: seasonal flower columns at the entrance and meadow-style arrangements along the aisle, using flowers including hydrangea, peonies and delphiniums.

At the reception, twisted monkey vine and soft ruscus created movement overhead, while the table arrangements remained elegantly restrained beside taper candles. Floral installations from the church were re-used, and some arrangements were reworked for the next day. This gave the event several distinct moods while reducing unnecessary duplication of materials.

Pink in Many Registers
The palette moved from cream and blush through baby pink to deeper tones, coordinating flowers with linens, menus and bridesmaid dresses.
Church to Reception
Large floral columns, aisle meadows and overflowing urns at St Mary's were moved and reused at the reception venue.
A Textural Bouquet
Coral Charm peonies, scabious, lisianthus and asparagus fern gave the bridal bouquet movement and scale.
