Simon Cracker SS27: A Wardrobe of Visible Contradictions
An orange cat-shaped bag is a small but decisive presence in Simon Cracker’s Spring/Summer 2027 gallery. Carried beside a navy bomber jacket, it repeats the bright orange of the turned-back cuffs while introducing an entirely different kind of object. The jacket is large and practical-looking; the bag is compact, sculptural and unmistakably playful.

Under the bomber sits a short pale lace dress with a gathered section and an uneven lower edge. The jacket’s glossy dark panels and zip pocket do not blend into the floral surface beneath. Heavy black shoes, decorated differently across their uppers, add another layer of contrast. The outfit makes its components easy to distinguish rather than absorbing them into one continuous silhouette.

That principle is visible elsewhere in the three official photographs considered here. Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana identifies Simon Cracker’s collection as SS27 and lists its Milan fashion show on September 25, 2026. The images support a close reading of colour, proportion and juxtaposition; they do not, on their own, establish the origin of the materials or substantiate environmental claims.

The opening gallery outfit combines a long red outer layer with dark inner sections and a short red top. Broad shoulders project beyond the arms, while a row of dark buttons runs down one side of the front. Below, vivid blue trousers sit low at the waist and narrow towards tied hems. Dark, textured shoes fasten with fine cords around the ankles.

Red and blue divide the body into clear areas, but the layering prevents the outfit from reading as a simple two-colour set. Different reds meet at the torso, dark strips frame the open front, and the trousers have their own irregular highlights. The contrast is built into both the colours and the lengths.

An olive double-breasted coat offers a more muted version of that approach. Pale, mottled lapels and sleeves interrupt its darker front. A black graphic T-shirt shows through the opening, above short lower layers in brown and pale grey. Socks and substantial black shoes complete an outfit that keeps the coat’s formal vocabulary but declines a conventional suited finish.

In this selection, the attraction lies in the joins. Lace meets a bomber, a bright trouser meets layered red outerwear, and a graphic T-shirt sits inside a double-breasted frame. The orange cat bag makes that willingness to combine unlike things particularly memorable.
