Lavender Green Flowers Designs a Two-Day Private Garden Wedding
Design Analysis: Two Days in a Private Garden
Lavender Green Flowers developed this private-home wedding around two floral moods across two days. The first was predominantly white and green, reflecting the bride's appreciation of lily of the valley and the fresh, fragrant character of the garden. The second introduced pink as a more celebratory accent, demonstrating how a restrained change in palette can give successive events their own identity.
The outdoor drinks reception on the first day placed delicate flowers within the existing vegetation instead of competing with the garden. Lily of the valley supplied not only a familiar shape but also a recognizable scent, encouraging guests to experience the decoration close up.
For the following celebration, pink floral arrangements and table runners enlivened the garden environment. Because the site's natural setting remained constant, the color shift became an effective way of signaling a new chapter. The design did not need a complete spatial transformation to feel different.
Seal and Sherlock is credited for planning, and Lara Arnott for photography. The project illustrates a useful approach to private-property weddings: allow the garden to provide the foundation, then use botanical color, fragrance and table treatment to distinguish each gathering.
