Dusit Thani Bangkok by André Fu Studio: Heritage Reimagined in a New Hotel
Thai references, layered craftsmanship and park-facing rooms reconnect a rebuilt Bangkok hotel with its predecessor’s heritage.
A new building with a remembered identity
The rebuilt Dusit Thani Bangkok opened in 2024, succeeding the flagship hotel that first welcomed guests in 1970. André Fu Studio’s selected interiors reinterpret its predecessor’s warmth and character through contemporary Thai references, art and craftsmanship.

Layers in the public rooms
The official project images show freestanding decorative screens beneath a stepped ceiling, with seating and bar areas arranged as connected settings. A dining room framed by gold-toned lattice doors continues the layered approach through texture, pattern and sculptural lighting.

Private spaces facing the park
Guestrooms combine timber panels and pale upholstery with generous window seating. Views towards Lumpini Park become part of the experience, while patterned panels and softly finished bathrooms carry the design’s restrained material language into the private rooms.
