Carven Spring/Summer 2027: Kai Nesselrath’s First Runway Chapter

Carven presented its Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear collection in Paris on 1 October 2026, marking Kai Nesselrath’s runway debut for the house. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode documents 35 looks in the collection.

A first runway chapter
Nesselrath approaches the debut as an introduction rather than a declaration. The collection reconnects with Carven through accessible silhouettes, tailoring and pieces designed to register as a working wardrobe, while leaving visible traces of process rather than polishing every gesture into formality.

Movement and the hand
The season’s construction repeatedly draws attention to movement and making. Controlled volumes, soft colour and deliberately unfinished-feeling details give the clothes a sense of activity, echoing Nesselrath’s interest in the energy of Madame Carven as a designer who worked directly through ideas and materials.

A 35-look introduction
Across 35 looks, the runway establishes a clear starting point for Carven under Nesselrath. The collection’s restraint allows proportion, fabric and construction to carry the argument, making the debut feel intentionally open-ended rather than over-resolved.
