Yohji Yamamoto Spring/Summer 2027 Womenswear: Silhouette in Motion

Yohji Yamamoto presented the Spring/Summer 2027 womenswear collection in Paris on 2 October 2026. The show was staged at the Salon de l’Hôtel de Ville, with the house also streaming the runway through its official channel. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode records a 43-look collection.

A runway built through silhouette
The sequence develops through long dresses, coats, layered separates and extended proportions, allowing construction and movement to carry the collection rather than a single decorative theme. Each look functions as an individual composition while remaining part of a deliberately paced runway.

Construction, layering and movement
Across the official lookbook, the clothes repeatedly shift between structured outer layers and softer dress forms. That contrast keeps the focus on how fabric sits around the body and how the silhouette changes in motion, a central part of the collection’s visual rhythm.

The collection places the emphasis on clothes viewed over time: garments are read from the front, in motion and as part of a complete procession. The official runway documentation reinforces the sense of continuity across the 43 looks while preserving the individuality of each construction.
