Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2027 “BODY & SOUL”: Dressing for Life
Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood Spring/Summer 2027 is titled “BODY & SOUL”, a celebration of movement, heat, life and the unpredictable ways clothes respond to the body. Presented at the Palais de la Femme in Paris, the collection connects Westwood’s radical heritage with Kronthaler’s instinctive approach to dressing.
Body, heat and lightness
The starting point was intensely physical: a hot summer in which a single nightshirt felt like enough. From that experience come pastel nightshirts, gingham, silk and cotton, coat dresses and delicate tulle corsetry — clothes designed to wrap the body without trapping it.

Color, pattern and historical mischief
Bright Bazin fabrics sourced in Barbès bring saturated color into the collection, while florals are layered over florals and leopard adds deliberate excess. A seventeenth-century “Cheat Jacket” provides another reference: luxurious fabric appears only where it will be seen, turning economy into visual wit.

A tribute with a living pulse
The show is also personal. Kronthaler evokes Vivienne Westwood through the image of a robin and frames the collection as a celebration of life. The title honors Body & Soul, the charity the pair encountered two decades ago, while the runway music was performed by longtime friend and punk poet Stuart McKenzie.

Watch BODY & SOUL
The official Vivienne Westwood replay captures the clothes in motion, where their looseness, corsetry, layered prints and theatrical proportions become inseparable from the cast and the Palais de la Femme setting.
BODY & SOUL feels deliberately alive: historical references, climate, memory, charity and punk energy are folded into a collection that treats clothing as something to move in rather than simply observe.
