Design Analysis: Tropical Orange in Angra dos Reis
For Lari Duarte and Marcelo Lima's wedding in Angra dos Reis, Patricia Vaks developed the decoration for an outdoor lunch following the ceremony. The design made use of the lush coastal setting without copying every color from the surrounding landscape. Instead, orange became the principal visual accent, placed against the greens already present in the garden.

Fruits were an essential part of the arrangement, contributing irregular shapes and fresh color alongside the flowers. The approach gave the tables a natural abundance that belonged to the tropical context, while the largely monochromatic direction prevented the display from becoming visually chaotic. The design was strongest where fruit, floral elements and existing vegetation formed one continuous composition.

Furniture by Ambiente Eventos supported the open-air gathering and allowed circulation and conversation to remain important. In a location defined by greenery, the decision to rely on one strong color rather than a broad palette strengthened the relationship between the decorative intervention and the site.

Patricia Vaks is credited for the decoration, with flowers by Orlando Ambrósio. The photographs are credited to Mana Gollo. This case illustrates how a tropical wedding can look unmistakably contemporary through editorial restraint: color is used selectively, natural textures do the work, and the existing landscape is treated as an active part of the room.
