ESTRO by André Fu Studio: A Cinematic Neapolitan Salotto in Central Hong Kong
Neapolitan references, sculptural details and intimate dining settings shape a Hong Kong restaurant.
A Neapolitan idea in Central
For ESTRO’s 2021 interior in Hong Kong’s Central district, André Fu Studio reimagined the atmosphere of a luxurious sitting room in Naples. The design forms a sequence of intimate settings rather than a literal reconstruction of an Italian interior.

A composed arrival
An arched decorative door anchors the arrival, flanked by curved blue banquettes and figurative wall murals. Warm columns and patterned upholstery give this entrance a theatrical character, introducing the restaurant’s dialogue between familiar references and unexpected forms.

Colour, pattern and reflection
Terracotta walls frame small dining tables, irregular mirrors and restrained wall lights. In the boudoir, floral wallpaper and blue-green seating create a contrasting room, continuing the layered colour and domestic scale of the design.
