Lavender Green Flowers Creates a Foam-Free Spring Showcase at Hedsor House
Design Analysis: A Foam-Free Spring Floral Showcase
At Hedsor House, Lavender Green Flowers created a spring showcase for the venue's open evening, rather than a documented private wedding. The floral studio used the occasion to demonstrate how a lively English-garden style could work within the house's formal architecture. The designs were described as completely floral-foam-free, making their construction method an important part of the project.
Mimosa, lilac, clematis, guelder rose, hydrangea, delphinium and tulips were grouped into a vivid palette that emphasized seasonal variation. Instead of limiting the flowers to one ceremonial backdrop, the team distributed botanical installations through important sightlines and arrival areas.
A broken arch at the principal entrance supplied the strongest first impression. Stone pedestals and cast-iron bowls overflowing with flowers carried the idea into the interior. These vessels suited the building's character and allowed loose, natural arrangements to contrast with the more formal stone and metal materials.

Material Detail: Foam-Free Floral Construction
The studio's decision to use floral-foam-free construction is also important editorially because it places design method alongside visual effect. A broken entrance arch, pedestal arrangements and cast-iron bowls require careful structural planning and thoughtful plant placement. The showcase demonstrates that a loose English-garden appearance can be achieved within a formal venue while treating construction technique as part of the creative brief, not merely an invisible production choice.
Additional Design Detail: Floral Foam-Free Construction
The studio explicitly described these spring installations as completely free of floral foam, a significant construction choice for a large-scale floral showcase. The broken arch at the entrance and the abundant arrangements in stone and cast-iron vessels were conceived to demonstrate seasonal color, form and professional floral technique.
