David Stark: Transforming Events Into Immersive Works of Art
David Stark views the event as a creative medium in its own right. Under his direction, spaces become temporary worlds that reveal a brand, celebrate a cause or translate a personal story through material, atmosphere and surprise.

An artist's approach to experience
As chief creative officer of David Stark Design, Stark leads a team working across creative direction, production and experiential marketing. The firm emphasizes that every project should begin with the particular needs and identity of its client.
More than decoration
Its process connects concept development, fabrication, guest flow and execution. The visible installation is only one part of the design: sound, food, movement and encounter can all contribute to the emotional experience of an event.
Two documented design commissions show the range of David Stark Design: the Hemmerle 125th-anniversary dinner at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and UNIQLO's Art & Science of LifeWear experience at Spring Studios. Both integrate scenography, spatial storytelling and commissioned installations.

A portfolio across industries

The studio has documented projects including a celebration for Hemmerle, experiences involving UNIQLO and the art and science of LifeWear, and numerous fundraising and social occasions. These commissions show how the same creative intelligence can work at different scales.
The art of the temporary
Stark's influence lies in making ephemeral environments worthy of the same care as a permanent interior. A visual profile should feature a verified portrait and images that explain the actual installations, rather than relying on generic photographs of parties.
