AZ Academy Gives Emerging Designers a Sellable Paris Fashion Week Platform
A Bunch of Designers presented six emerging labels in Paris alongside fashion week. Richemont’s September 29, 2026 announcement scheduled the public pop-up for September 30–October 17 at Heureux les Curieux. It followed AZ Academy’s twelve-month programme, connecting debut commercial collections with potential customers.
Six Distinct Proposals
The participants were Brais Albor, Merle Breuker, Sandra Jao, Liwen Liang, Manon Marcelot and Caterina Moro. The images below represent six separate design practices.
Construction, Adaptability and Material
Richemont describes Albor’s approach through menswear proportion and construction, and Breuker’s through garments that can be adjusted and recombined. Jao explores technical materials and modular structures; Liang develops wearable forms through ceramic research. Marcelot’s leather goods draw on rural references, while Moro works with nature through prints and textile treatments.
A Public Encounter With the Work
The announced activities made process part of the presentation, from pattern cutting and embroidery to ceramics, leather goods and textile-print research. The format placed the finished object beside an explanation of how it was developed.
That relationship gives a small public presentation a different purpose from a conventional runway. A silhouette can make an immediate impression in a photograph, but understanding how its parts connect may take a closer encounter. Bringing several practices into one space also makes comparison possible without asking the designers to share a single aesthetic.
The Paris dates are retained here as a record of the 2026 programme. The project’s significance lies in the passage between developing a collection and presenting it to potential customers, with the designer’s practical decisions becoming part of the fashion-week story.
