Maison Margiela Spring/Summer 2027: Transformation in 62 Looks

Maison Margiela returned to the Paris women’s calendar on 29 September 2026 with its Spring/Summer 2027 collection under Glenn Martens. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode documents 62 looks, and the house streamed the full runway through its official YouTube channel.

Construction through contrast
The runway develops through oppositions in surface, weight and proportion. Rather than resolve those tensions into one uniform silhouette, the collection allows harder and softer gestures to coexist, making construction itself part of the seasonal narrative.

Margiela codes under Glenn Martens
Martens approaches the house through transformation rather than quotation. Familiar ideas of reconstruction, displacement and altered proportion appear as working methods across the sequence, allowing the clothes to register as contemporary garments while remaining connected to Margiela’s experimental language.

A 62-look return to Paris
The scale of the runway gives the collection room to build through repetition, interruption and variation. Across 62 looks, the show becomes a sustained study in how a house vocabulary can be stretched without losing its identity.
