Harrison Ford

Harrison Ford nació el 13 de julio de 1942 en Chicago. Tras estudiar en Wisconsin, se mudó a Los Ángeles en 1964. Sus primeros años fueron difíciles: los pequeños papeles no bastaban para mantener a su familia y trabajó como carpintero mientras seguía haciendo audiciones.

Han Solo y el gran salto

Star Wars, en 1977, cambió su carrera. Como Han Solo, Ford combinó ironía, carisma y heroísmo a regañadientes. Repitió el papel en The Empire Strikes Back y Return of the Jedi, ayudando a definir una de las sagas más influyentes del cine.

Indiana Jones y una carrera versátil

Raiders of the Lost Ark, de 1981, presentó su otra gran figura cinematográfica: Indiana Jones. Fuera de las franquicias, Ford destacó en Blade Runner, Witness —que le valió una nominación al Oscar—, The Fugitive, Air Force One y Regarding Henry.

Aviación, medio ambiente y legado

Ford es piloto experimentado y ha participado en vuelos de ayuda y rescate. También apoya la conservación ambiental y organizaciones como Conservation International. Su longevidad combina personajes icónicos, papeles variados y una personalidad pública relativamente reservada.
