Unveiling the Magic of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's Iconic Wedding

Here is another example of great celebrities who managed to keep the wedding ceremony in almost absolute secrecy. Diva Queen B and rapper Jay-Z dated for six years before deciding to get married. Thus, in 2008, more precisely on April 4, they held an intimate ceremony. So intimate, that the first images released that we have news, only appeared in 2015, in a video shared by Jay-Z. The following year, Beyoncé showed a little more of the ceremony in the video for "All Night", one of the songs from the controversial and acclaimed album "Lemonade", Beyoncé.

The wedding was celebrated in the attic of an apartment of the groom, in Manhattan, in the neighborhood of Tribeca. There was only the presence of family and close friends, at a party that received about 40 guests.

What little is known about the couple's wardrobe is that Jay-Z opted for the traditional tuxedo, while Beyoncé wore a dress designed by none other than her mother, Tina Knowles. The ivory gown was a strapless sweetheart neckline.

To set the mood for the party, a large tent was erected on the roof patio. A collection of flowers, more precisely 70,000 white orchids, which are Beyoncé's favorites, was sent from Thailand. Complementing the decor was a collection of chandeliers. Floating candles were placed along the corridor.

Among the guests were Destiny's Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, Gwyneth Paltrow and her then-husband Chris Martin.

After the vows, guests threw white petals in the air as Mr. and Mrs. Carter retreated down the tent corridor, strung with strands of crystal. It is also known that neither Beyoncé nor Jay-Z sang at the party. But that did not lack animation. From what we have news, the party continued until 5 am, rocked by a playlist that went from Jackson 5 to Whitney Houston.

Upon completing ten years of marriage, in 2018, also in April, the singer and Jay-Z, who admittedly went through a crisis, after an extra-marital relationship with the rapper, left the turmoil behind, and renewed their vows, once more in an intimate ceremony.

The celebration, by the way, seems to have been as or even more exclusive than the one held ten years earlier. At this celebration, the couple's three children, Blue-Yvy and the twins Rumi and Sir, were already present. It was a ceremony surrounded by a lot of tradition.

Beyoncé opted for the long white dress, but she bet on the supersexy look. This time, the dress was not signed by her mother, but by the haute couture designer, specializing in bridal gowns, the Israeli designer Galia Lahav.

A Thelma model was chosen, all lace and embroidered with pearls and Swarovski crystals, which is part of the designer's Victorian Affinity collection, and was inspired by Queen Victoria's wedding dress, at her wedding to Prince Albert of Saxe-Colburg, in 1840, a model that is still in high demand today and is a piece that is exclusively made to order.

The great truth is that as there are few images of the two ceremonies released over the years, the curiosity of fans and the general public remains sharp. Will there be a new celebration ten years from now?
