Michael Jackson nació el 29 de agosto de 1958 en Gary, Indiana, y comenzó su carrera siendo niño en los Jackson 5. El grupo alcanzó enorme éxito con Motown y su voz y presencia escénica lo convirtieron rápidamente en el centro de atención.

De la carrera solista a Thriller

Off the Wall, de 1979, mostró una identidad solista madura. Thriller, publicado en 1982, se convirtió en fenómeno global con Billie Jean, Beat It y la canción que da título al disco. Bad, Dangerous y HIStory continuaron mezclando pop, R&B, rock, baile y producción de gran escala.

Baile e innovación visual

Su actuación de Billie Jean en Motown 25 popularizó el moonwalk ante una audiencia masiva. Vídeos como Thriller elevaron el formato a producciones cinematográficas e influyeron en coreografía, vestuario y narrativa visual durante décadas.

Un legado enorme y complejo

Jackson también apoyó causas humanitarias. Sus últimos años estuvieron marcados por intensa atención mediática, procesos legales y graves acusaciones que continúan formando parte del debate sobre su legado. Falleció el 25 de junio de 2009, a los 50 años.

Su influencia musical y visual sigue siendo enorme y puede reconocerse en generaciones de cantantes, bailarines y directores de videoclips.
