James Caan

James Caan nació el 26 de marzo de 1940 en el Bronx. Tras estudiar interpretación en Neighborhood Playhouse, trabajó en televisión y cine antes de alcanzar fama internacional como Sonny Corleone en The Godfather, de 1972, interpretación que le valió una nominación al Oscar como actor de reparto.

Brian’s Song, Misery junto a Kathy Bates y la comedia familiar Elf mostraron su amplitud interpretativa. Intensidad, humor y vulnerabilidad le permitieron trabajar durante décadas en géneros muy diferentes.

James Caan falleció el 6 de julio de 2022. Su trabajo sigue siendo referencia por la manera de combinar personajes de gran fuerza con humanidad, humor y espontaneidad.
