Neuer Harry-Potter-Film? Was für 2026 wirklich bestätigt ist

Trotz jahrelanger Online-Gerüchte und von Fans erstellter Trailer wurde für 2025 kein neuer Harry-Potter-Film offiziell angekündigt. Die bestätigte Rückkehr nach Hogwarts ist eine HBO-Originalserie: eine neue Adaption der Bücher von J. K. Rowling und keine Fortsetzung der Geschichte der ursprünglichen Filmbesetzung.


Was ist offiziell bestätigt?


HBO hat eine erste Staffel mit acht Episoden unter dem Titel Harry Potter und der Stein der Weisen angekündigt. Die Serie soll am 25. Dezember 2026 auf HBO und – wo verfügbar – HBO Max starten.


Die Produktion ist als werkgetreue, mehrere Staffeln umfassende Adaption der sieben Romane konzipiert. Die ursprünglichen acht Filme bleiben davon getrennt und sind weiterhin weltweit verfügbar.


Der neue Harry, Hermine und Ron


Dominic McLaughlin spielt Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton Hermine Granger und Alastair Stout Ron Weasley. Zur erwachsenen Besetzung gehören John Lithgow als Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer als Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu als Severus Snape und Nick Frost als Rubeus Hagrid.


Ist ein Film zu „Das verwunschene Kind“ bestätigt?


Ein offizieller Film Harry Potter und das verwunschene Kind wurde nicht angekündigt. Videos, die sich als Trailer für einen Film von 2025 ausgaben, waren Fan- oder Konzepttrailer und dürfen nicht als offizielles Material von Warner Bros. verstanden werden.
